  HORRIBLE BEDSIDE MANNER. GOOD TREATMENT I went in for concerns about pore size, redness on my nose, and possible fillers. I found Davin through YOUTUBE and believed him to be funny, kind and outgoing person he portrays on their but was disappointed when we met. I paid $260 for a consultation that lasted slightly longer than 30 min. It was the worst and most impersonal consultation I have ever received. I was told I needed fillers for my jaw but was actually interested in my cheeks.This wasn't really a great way to build customer rapport. He told me what I could expect from the fraxel treatment and that I would have further treatment to reduce redness overall (including my nose). He was very direct, as he claims, but to a fault (you feel like a burden). There was no personal questions like if I was on any current medications or anything like that. I asked about skin care and he told me "I don't do that, that's someone else" which is fair enough but the tone was unkind and he did not recommend or make suggestions about who to speak to. The entire experience felt super rushed and like aI was just pushed through as quickly as possible. I left feeling disappointed, like Davin didn't care, and that I had bothered him. THE PROCEDURE: I decided to go ahead with the procedure despite my feelings as I assumed his lack of personal skills was not necessarily reflective of his ability. The Fraxel was done by a nurse and was very good. I was attended to and treated great by the nursing staff. After the Fraxel I had treatments on my nose for redness which I do not feel helped. The nurses and staff should receive raises for their kind and caring nature as well as their professionalism. I have no complaints about the treatment as I know treatment outcomes vary. As far as his knowledge, I would say Davin was correct in what he told me and that his knowledge was accurate and beneficial but his delivery was very very poor. THE RETURN CONSULTATION: The treatment worked but was not as successful as I had hoped. I was realistic (I felt) with my expectations. When Davin came in it felt like he was literally stepping away from another job. He did not sit down. He quickly (25 seconds) looked at my face and made comments about the success of the treatments but did not ask me how I felt. It is possible he is skilled enough that he only needs a brief look to tell, but the way in which he handled it felt very impersonal and forced. When I told him I was concerned about the effectiveness on my pores he got close to me and said, "See my face? these are pores, humans have pores..." which was incredibly condescending. I actually replied, "Yes I know humans have pores." He started to walk out of the room and I asked about the redness on my nose (at this point I still don't even know what it's from). He said "what redness?" and I told him. He laughed and looked at the nurse and said "I don't see anything really. Do you?" Then looked closer and just said to the nurse, "we can't do anything about that" and explained some stuff in medical terms to the nurse that i did not understand. He did say goodbye and smile as he left which was perhaps the only friendly part of the whole encounter. There was no follow up about fillers. He was honest that my treatment wouldn't be effective if I repeated it in the near future which I appreciated. OVERALL: I feel like Davin is probably someone who is great at what he does but is unable to connect with people on a friendly and personal manner. He seems to struggle with interpersonal skills as his body language, voice tones, and reactions build absolutely no rapport and leave you uncomfortable. If you are looking for a doctor that makes you feel safe, cared about, comfortable, and important, do not go to Davin. If you want someone that can give you a good treatment very quickly and you are not concerned about any type of connection, Davin is a great choice. I am giving two stars because I have no complaints about the treatment itself but the customer interaction by Davin was the worst I have ever experienced.

  Have been a fan and always following your every video on YouTube, each time I watch any of your videos, I do see a rare of hope in my situation because I have lived with stretch marks practically all my life and I have lost fight to it but your videos do inspire me that it can get better but it's quite unfortunate that am in Nigeria and not sure of a good cosmectic surgeon around here but I keep the hope alive that I'll get treated by you someday. Keep up the good

  Dr. Davin Lim is the best in his field, his knowledge and patient commitment is second to none. I'm a big fan of his youtube page as it provides a great inside to what he does, how he does it and why is he in the industry in the first place, his passion for what he does is palpable. I love his direct and clear approach regarding treatment and how to proceed. Finding an experienced, honest advice its a bit hard to come by and being able to trust your Dr. is invaluable to me. If you are looking for any cosmetic, laser, lift, aesthetics, skin related treatments look no further Davin is your guy. Follow him in youtube or Instagram and you can see for yourself.
